    Israeli military says struck Hezbollah on Syria-Lebanon border

    JERUSALEM:  The Israeli army mentioned on Saturday (Nov 30) it had struck “army infrastructure” on the Syria-Lebanon border being utilized by Hezbollah for weapons smuggling in violation of their ceasefire settlement.

    The air pressure launched a “strike on army infrastructure websites adjoining to frame crossings between Syria and Lebanon that have been actively utilized by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons from Syria into Lebanon” the army mentioned in a press release.

    It mentioned the smuggling occurred “after the ceasefire settlement went into impact”.

    The army additionally mentioned it had been conducting searches in southern Lebanon over the previous day through which troopers “confiscated weapons that have been hid in a mosque by Hezbollah”.

    The ceasefire, which was put in place to end greater than a yr of cross-border hostilities and two months of open warfare between Israel and Hezbollah, started early on Wednesday morning.

    As a part of the phrases of the deal, the Lebanese military and UN peacekeepers will deploy in southern Lebanon because the Israeli military withdraws over a interval of 60 days.

    Hezbollah can be meant to withdraw its forces north of the Litani river, roughly 30km north of the border, and dismantle its army infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

    Israel has insisted on its “full army freedom of motion” in Lebanon if Hezbollah violates the ceasefire settlement or makes an attempt to rearm.

    It has performed a number of strikes in Lebanon since Wednesday.
