PARIS: France on Saturday (Sep 28) referred to as on Israel to cease placing Lebanon, because the killing of the top of the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group sparked fears of a widening battle within the Center East.
Talking with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, French International Minister Jean-Noel Barrot mentioned Paris wished “a right away halt to Israeli strikes in Lebanon” and was “against any floor operation”, the international ministry mentioned in a press release.
France additionally “calls on different actors, notably Hezbollah and Iran, to abstain from any motion that might result in further destabilisation and regional conflagration”.
