    (Leftist) Harvard College professors are suing to dam the Trump administration’s assessment of practically $9 billion in federal contracts and grants awarded to the Ivy League faculty.

    The assessment is a part of the federal government’s crackdown on what it says is antisemitism on faculty campuses.

    The Harvard college chapter of the American Affiliation of College Professors and the nationwide arm of the educational group stated in a lawsuit filed on Friday in a Boston federal court docket that the administration was making an attempt to unlawfully undermine educational freedom and free speech on the college’s campus.

    The U.S. Division of Justice, which is defending the administration’s insurance policies in court docket, didn’t reply to a request for touch upon Saturday. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Harvard declined to remark.

    Harvard’s former President Claudine Homosexual told Congress in 2023 that calling for the genocide of Jews didn’t essentially violate the colleges code of conduct.
