    Two oil tankers collide, catch fire near Strait of Hormuz

    DUBAI/COPENHAGEN: Two oil tankers collided and caught hearth on Tuesday (Jun 17) close to the Strait of Hormuz, the place electronic interference has surged throughout battle between Iran and Israel, however there have been no accidents to crew or spillage reported.

    With Iran and Israel firing missiles at one another since Friday, interference has disrupted navigation techniques close to the important waterway between Iran and Oman which handles a few fifth of the world’s seaborne oil.

    The United Arab Emirates coast guard stated it had evacuated 24 folks from one of many ships, Adalynn, to the port of Khor Fakkan after the crash 24 nautical miles off its japanese coast.

    Personnel on the second tanker, the Entrance Eagle, have been reported secure with no air pollution seen after a hearth on its deck, based on its proprietor, the Oslo-listed firm Frontline.

    Frontline later advised Reuters the incident could be investigated, however there was no suggestion of out of doors interference.

    The Entrance Eagle was loaded with 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil and was en path to Zhoushan in China, based on monitoring service TankerTrackers.com.

    The Adalynn, a Suezmax-class tanker owned by India-based World Delivery Holding Ltd, had no cargo and was crusing in the direction of the Suez Canal in Egypt, the monitoring service stated.

    TankerTrackers.com stated on X that the Entrance Eagle was transferring southbound at a pace of 13.1 knots when it “executed a starboard (proper) flip, leading to a collision with the port quarter (aft port aspect)” of the Adalynn, which was continuing southeast at 4.8 knots.
