Texas DPS pursued a human smuggler on a high-speed chase in Webb County driving a white Chevy Malibu. Through the pursuit, the smuggler, Ruby Martinez, slowed down and let an unlawful alien bail out of the car. Martinez then took off and continued to evade the trooper till they did a PIT maneuver to cease the car. The smuggler was taken into custody for human smuggling and evading arrest.
One unlawful alien was handed over to the Border Patrol.
