On Tuesday afternoon, a Los Angeles jury convicted an Orange County, California, choose of second-degree homicide for taking pictures his spouse.
As beforehand reported, a choose who sat on Orange County Superior Court docket in Southern California was drunk when shot his spouse useless in August 2023, prosecutors stated.
Choose Jeffrey Ferguson, 74, was accused of fatally taking pictures his spouse Sheryl throughout an argument of their Anaheim Hills residence on August 3, 2023.
Ferguson beforehand pleaded not responsible to a homicide cost.
The choose’s lawyer says it was an “unintended taking pictures.”
Ferguson and his spouse bought into an argument at dinner and that’s when he “pointed his finger at his spouse in a way mimicking a firearm,” Orange County Deputy District Legal professional Christopher Alex instructed the Los Angeles court docket in 2023.

Prosecutors stated Ferguson reeked of alcohol when he was arrested by police and instructed them, “Oh man I can’t imagine I did this.”
In response to court docket paperwork, Ferguson texted his colleague after the taking pictures, “I simply misplaced it. I simply shot my spouse. I received’t be in tomorrow. I shall be in custody. I’m so sorry.”
Ferguson’s case was moved to Los Angeles due to his skilled relationships with judges in Orange County, KABC reported.
Ferguson is going through 40 years in jail after a jury convicted him on Tuesday, KABC reported.
