    MOSCOW: Russia’s Vladimir Putin on Saturday (Dec 28) apologised to Ilham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan, for a “tragic incident” which occurred in Russian airspace involving an Azerbaijan Airways passenger aircraft that crashed this week.
