    OpenAI Rejects Elon Musk’s Bid to Gain Control of the Company

    OpenAI’s board of administrators on Friday rejected a $97.4 billion bid by Elon Musk and a consortium of buyers to realize management of the synthetic intelligence firm, deepening a feud between Mr. Musk and OpenAI’s chief govt, Sam Altman.

    In a press release, Bret Taylor, the chairman of the OpenAI board, stated, “OpenAI shouldn’t be on the market, and the board has unanimously rejected Mr. Musk’s newest try and disrupt his competitors.”

    OpenAI additionally despatched a letter to Mr. Musk’s lawyer, Marc Toberoff, saying that the bid was “not in the very best pursuits of OAI’s mission.”
