    Mexican authorities find 20 bodies, some decapitated, in Sinaloa state | Crime News

    Incident is newest in months of intense violence between rival drug cartel members.

    The Sinaloa state prosecutor’s workplace reported a grisly scene on Monday: 4 headless corpses have been discovered on a roadside, 16 our bodies have been found inside an deserted automobile close to the state capital, Culiacan, and 5 human heads have been discovered inside a bag.

    Sinaloa has been gripped by months of violence fuelled by rival drug traffickers vying for management of routes used to supply and transport narcotics, together with fentanyl, which are usually destined for the US.

    “El Chapo” has been serving a life sentence within the US for drug trafficking since 2019.

    Later in July, Guzman Lopez pleaded not responsible to drug trafficking and different fees in federal court docket in Chicago.

    In September, Zambada pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking, homicide and different fees in a New York court docket.

    The violence in Sinaloa has killed greater than 1,200 folks, in response to official figures.

    Legal violence, most of it linked to drug trafficking, has claimed about 480,000 lives in Mexico since 2006 and left greater than 120,000 folks lacking.
