    Malaysia PM discusses MH17 downing with Russia’s Putin

    KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim mentioned he mentioned the downing of Malaysian Airways Flight MH17 with Russian President Vladimir Putin throughout a go to to Moscow, days after a UN report found Russia responsible for the catastrophe.

    “For certain, as a consultant of the Malaysian individuals, significantly the households of the victims, I took the chance to lift the difficulty with President Vladimir Putin throughout our bilateral discussions,” he instructed Malaysian media on Wednesday (Could 14), as quoted by native information company Bernama. 

    Anwar was requested to touch upon the latest developments regarding the findings made by a UN aviation council. 

    The Worldwide Civil Aviation Organisation Council (ICAO) discovered this week that Russia was liable for the downing of MH17, which was shot down over jap Ukraine in 2014 throughout combating between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces.

    Moscow has rejected ICAO’s findings on the crash that killed all 298 passengers and crew, calling the ruling biased. 

    Anwar mentioned in a Fb submit late on Wednesday that he would proceed to press for accountability over the catastrophe.

    “Malaysia stays resolute in guaranteeing accountability and a simply decision for the victims and their households who proceed to bear the load of this tragedy,” he mentioned.

    Anwar mentioned that within the assembly Putin expressed condolences to the households of these killed, which included 196 Dutch residents, 43 Malaysians and 38 Australian residents or residents.

    Putin known as for a radical and complete investigation that isn’t politicised, Anwar mentioned.
