To the editor: Dodger Stadium hosts a Army Appreciation Evening, a Salvadoran Heritage Evening and a Guatemalan Heritage Evening (the quetzal shirt seems superior). However we are going to by no means see an Autism Spectrum Evening. The ear-shattering sound system would trigger many followers on the spectrum to run from the stadium screaming in ache and terror (“Why is Dodger Stadium SO LOUD?,” June 19).
I endure from a situation known as hyperacusis, by which loud noises may cause ear ache lasting for days and even weeks. It’s uncommon within the basic inhabitants, however extra frequent amongst autistic individuals. I really like baseball and used to like going to Dodger Stadium from the 12 months it opened till 20-something years in the past. However now I’d must put on industrial-strength ear safety.

To the editor: After studying this text and seeing that Clayton Kershaw stated, “The louder, the extra enjoyable, the higher,” I felt the necessity to reply. I took my 6-year-old granddaughter to the Dodgers vs. Padres sport final week and whereas she appeared to get pleasure from rooting for the Dodgers, I requested if she needed to return once more. She stated, “No, it’s too loud.” To make clear, I requested her if it was the man sitting behind us and he or she repeated, “No, it’s simply too loud!” If this sound degree is troublesome to a 6-year-old, I ponder how the infants within the stands are processing it. One thing to consider. However within the meantime, it’s ear plugs for the subsequent sport.

To the editor: For the love of baseball, make the expertise in regards to the sport. Tone it down. Much less noise and chatter. And inform Dodgers government vice chairman and chief advertising officer Lon Rosen that individuals attend video games regardless of the noise, not due to it.
