To the editor: I simply wish to applaud the writing of Los Angeles Occasions journalist Brittny Mejia (“The journey to becoming a tall drink of water,” March 7). In her story about sufferers getting leg-lengthening surgical procedure I felt like I used to be there throughout the surgical process.
She writes like a novelist or a poet. Writing like this retains me a loyal L.A. Occasions subscriber. The next was significantly memorable:

To the editor: I had a leg-lengthening process in 2013 utilizing the Precice machine because of a hip fracture. This life-saving machine was nothing in need of a miracle for me. Sure, the surgical procedure was horribly painful, but it surely was value it in the long run.
