    Lebanon bans pagers, walkie-talkies from flights

    BEIRUT: Lebanese authorities on Thursday (Sep 19) banned walkie-talkies and pagers from being taken on flights from Beirut airport, the Nationwide Information Company reported, after 1000’s of such units exploded throughout a lethal assault on Hezbollah this week.

    The Lebanese civilian aviation directorate requested airways working from Beirut to inform passengers that walkie-talkies and pagers had been banned till additional discover. Such units had been additionally banned from being shipped by air, the Lebanese state information company reported.

    Not less than 37 folks had been killed and greater than 3,000 wounded when pagers and walkie-talkies utilized by Hezbollah members exploded in two waves of assaults on Tuesday and Wednesday.
