When Indiana performs Ohio State in two weeks, it will likely be the weekend’s marquee sport. So, why is it being handled like a matinee?
On Monday, Fox introduced the Hoosiers and Buckeyes will play within the “Huge Midday Kickoff” sport within the midday ET window.
Ohio State followers have been rightfully upset following the announcement, because it means the Buckeyes will play six consecutive midday ET video games to finish the common season.
Fox “Huge Midday Kickoff” shade commentator Joel Klatt defended the choice by explaining Fox is locked into the midday ET timeslot due to the Huge Ten media rights deal, which provides CBS the three:30 p.m. ET window and NBC the primetime slot.
