To the editor: As Democrats battle with whether or not to exchange Sen. Chuck Schumer as their Senate chief, why not draft Sen. Bernie Sanders to the get together and elevate him to that place identical to the Republicans did with presidents Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump (“Trump and recent gains give the California Republican Party hope,” March 17)?
