    DeepSeek faces expulsion from app stores in Germany

    FRANKFURT: Germany’s information safety commissioner has requested Apple and Google to take away Chinese language AI startup DeepSeek from their app shops within the nation attributable to issues about information safety.

    Commissioner Meike Kamp mentioned in an announcement on Friday (Jun 27) that she had made the request as a result of DeepSeek illegally transfers customers’ private information to China.

    The 2 US tech giants should now overview the request promptly and determine whether or not to dam the app in Germany, she added.

    DeepSeek didn’t reply to a request for remark. Apple and Google weren’t instantly out there for remark.
