Columbia was on the forefront of US campus protests over the battle final spring. Professional-Palestinian demonstrators arrange an encampment and seized a campus constructing in April, resulting in dozens of arrests and galvanizing a wave of protests nationally.
Trump, when he retook the White Home in January, moved swiftly to chop federal cash to schools and universities he considered as too tolerant of antisemitism.
