As it happened: Trump rebukes Israel for post-ceasefire strikes, says truce with Iran still in effect

US President Donald Trump sharply rebuked Israel on Tuesday (Jun 24) for its navy response following a ceasefire deal, and accused each Israel and Iran of violating the agreement simply hours after he introduced it.

“Israel shouldn’t be going to assault Iran. All planes will flip round and head house, whereas doing a pleasant ‘airplane wave’ to Iran. No person might be harm, the ceasefire is in impact!” he stated on Reality Social.

If it holds, the truce can be an enormous political win for Trump. It comes after he determined to send US bombers over the weekend to attack three nuclear facilities in Iran that Israel and the US say had been getting used to construct an atomic bomb in secret.
