    Hamas officials say Israel delaying aid delivery to Gaza, may affect hostages’ release

    CAIRO: Two Hamas officers on Wednesday (Jan 29) accused Israel of delaying the supply of important humanitarian support to Gaza, as agreed within the ceasefire deal, and warned that it may impact the release of hostages.

    “We warn that continued delays and failure to handle these factors (supply of key support) will have an effect on the pure development of the settlement, together with the prisoner alternate,” a senior Hamas official instructed AFP, talking on situation of anonymity.

    One other official, additionally talking on situation of anonymity, mentioned the group had requested mediators to intervene within the concern.

    Hamas officers mentioned Israel was failing to ship key support objects – resembling gasoline, tents, heavy equipment and different gear – into the Gaza Strip, as agreed for the first stage of the ceasefire that took effect on Jan 19.
