    Myanmar’s junta pushed election plan in talks with neighbours

    BANGKOK: The highest diplomat of Myanmar’s ruling junta briefed neighbouring international locations on its plans to carry an election subsequent 12 months amid an escalating civil struggle, together with doubtlessly inviting overseas ballot observers, Thai officers mentioned on Thursday (Dec 19).
