    Thai protesters call for Prime Minister Paetongtarn’s resignation

    BANGKOK: 1000’s of protesters gathered within the Thai capital Bangkok on Saturday (Jun 28) demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, as her authorities faces rising anger over a border row with Cambodia.

    The rally, the biggest anti-government protest since her Pheu Thai celebration got here to energy in 2023, will increase stress on Paetongtarn, 38, who’s battling to revive a faltering financial system and preserve a fragile authorities coalition collectively forward of a possible no confidence vote subsequent month.

    Protesters waved flags beside Victory Monument, a warfare memorial at a busy intersection, in an indication organised by the United Pressure of the Land, a coalition of largely nationalist activists who’ve rallied in opposition to different Shinawatra-backed governments over the past twenty years.
