Protection Secretary Pete Hegseth on Saturday night introduced that Energetic Responsibility Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton might be mobilized to quell the anti-ICE riots in downtown Los Angeles.
Camp Pendleton is positioned about 80 miles south of Los Angeles in North San Diego County.
Violent protests started on Friday after ICE brokers carried out a number of raids in downtown Los Angeles on Friday.

Hegseth made the announcement shortly after President Trump signed a presidential memorandum deploying 2,000 Nationwide Guardsmen to “tackle the lawlessness.”
“The violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Legislation Enforcement are designed to forestall the elimination of Legal Unlawful Aliens from our soil; a harmful invasion facilitated by prison cartels (aka Overseas Terrorist Organizations) and an enormous NATIONAL SECURITY RISK,” Hegseth stated.
