    China launches mission to retrieve asteroid samples

    BEIJING: China launched into Thursday (Could 29) on its first mission to retrieve samples from a close-by asteroid, with the nighttime launch of its Tianwen-2 spacecraft, set to make the fast-growing house energy the third nation to fetch pristine asteroid rocks.

    The last decade-long mission is the most recent in current house efforts that embody touchdown robots on the moon’s far facet, working a nationwide house station in orbit and investing closely in plans to ship people to the moon by 2030.
