    SpaceX delays flight to retrieve NASA astronauts stuck on space station | Space News

    NASA says it can reattempt launch to deliver dwelling astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on Friday.

    Elon Musk’s SpaceX has delayed a mission to switch two astronauts caught on board the Worldwide House Station (ISS) following a last-minute technical glitch.

    The postponement of the launch on Wednesday signifies that NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams must wait a minimum of two extra days earlier than they will start their return to Earth.

    Wilmore and Williams arrived on the ISS in June for a mission that was alleged to final 10 days at most, however the pair have been pressured to increase their keep after their Boeing Starliner spacecraft developed propulsion points.

    Wilmore and Williams are scheduled to return to Earth on board a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft at present docked on the ISS as soon as a workforce of American, Japanese and Russian astronauts arrives to take their place.

    NASA stated in an announcement that Wednesday’s launch on the Kennedy House Heart was scrubbed because of a hydraulic system concern with a floor help clamp arm for the Falcon 9 rocket.

    If the mission goes forward on Friday, Wilmore and Williams may depart the ISS by March 19, in accordance with NASA.
